Every LowProfile™ load cell we make is individually calibrated and tested through a series of performance tests, with no sampling, before it is shipped.
We manufacture our own self-temperature compensated strain gages from our exclusive proprietary alloy. Our strain gage bridges utilize an effective temperature compensation circuit design without adding modulus resistors as do most competitors. Zero temperature sensitivity is tested at both cold and hot temperatures for every sensor.
Every load cell batch is creep tested to the tightest specification in the industry.

Interface produces nearly 50 types of reaction torque transducers and rotary torque transducers. All our torque transducers are precision-machined and use our proprietary torque sensors for the most accurate data possible. A torque sensor, is a transducer that converts a torsional mechanical input into an electrical output signal. A reaction torque sensor measures static torque, and rotary measures dynamic torque. Rotary torque transducers are used in applications where the torque transducer must rotate when attached to a spinning shaft. A rotary torque transducer provides a method of getting the signal off of the rotating element without an attached cable. We can help you find mounts from pedestals to shafts to flanges, and drives vary from hex to square to pulley, with more styles in between.
Multi-Axis Sensors are designed to measure a multiple of forces and moments simultaneously with a single load cell sensor. These sensors provide multiple bridges that precisely measure the applied force from one direction with little or no cross-talk from the force or moment. Our 3-axis, 6-axis, and axial torsion load cells provide the ultimate in force and torque measurement. We can measure forces simultaneously in three mutually perpendicular axes, with the 6-axis load cells also measuring torque around those axes.

Interface Load Cell Calibration Systems are available in design configurations for a wide range of rigid and portable systems. We offer strain gage load cell calibration systems for nearly any force measurement application including custom designs. Our GS-SYS Gold Standard® Calibration System consists of a four-post rigid load frame, proprietary load feedback loop, signal conditioning hardware, and fully-automated calibration software for the highest accuracy and lowest uncertainty available. Wireless Telemetry System (WTS), Sensor Transmitters, Receivers, and Displays. High accuracy, high quality measurement is interfaced with simple yet powerful configuration and monitoring software. The WTS gives sensor manufacturers and integrators the complete flexibility to build their own sensor modules around it. The system easily replaces wired systems, reducing installation and maintenance costs.
Interface’s load button cells are designed for customers who require the measurement of forces in a very confined space. They are designed to provide the most accuracy in as little space as possible. The smaller LBM or LBS can fulfill the need for force measurements at a very respectable precision level that is enough for most applications. Diameters range from 1 inch to 3 inches, with heights from 0.39 inch to 1.5 inches. The shaped load button has a spherical radius to help confine misaligned loads to the primary axis of the cell.
Interface offers eight different models of load washers of varying sizes and force measuring ranges, all the way from 11.2 to 1124K lbf. The Interface Load Cell Load Washers can be easily designed into products to continuously measure and monitor compression forces. The variety of styles and capacities, all using the thru-hole feature, give product engineers and designers multiple choices for what best fits their application and use case.
Interface offers two types of load frames. The Gold Standard® Calibration System using the Interface Gold Standard® Load Cell ensures a metrology system of the highest accuracy and lowest uncertainty available. The second is the Force Verification Frame which is a portable high force capacity frame and accessories designed to apply tension and compression forces to load cells with high resolution and accuracy. This system features a reaction frame, manual actuator, thread/adapter accessories, and optional force sensor(s) and instrumentation. The hardware can be used to verify operation of a device under test or calibrate relative to a second reference load cell.
We provide shielded cable and mating connectors to calibration adapters and resistors. Our top and bottom plates distribute load over the support structure foundation and provide a prepared surface for the load cell. Precisely machined clevises, jam nuts, thread adapters, mating connectors, mounting plates, and rod end bearings provide rigid connections and reduce alignment error. Load cell and torque transducer accessories are available in many design configurations and will help you complete your project design with the highest performance and the least amount of trouble possible.
Interface’s specially designed low profile load cells with loop-powered intrinsically safe amplified output for use in oil field and other hazardous locations. These load cells are derived from other proven Interface models by adding high resistance strain gages for low-current loop power and shielded internal amplifier for extra low emissions and minimal EMI susceptibility. Interface’s S-type load cell provides a suitable force measurement sensor for applications in coal mining and transfer and other heavy industries where explosive dusts and environment conditions are potentially explosion-hazard rated.

A2LA offers three primary service lines to support recognition of competence in conformity assessment industries.
ISO/IEC 17025 enables laboratories to demonstrate that they operate competently and generate valid results, thereby promoting confidence in their work both nationally and around the world.
It also helps facilitate cooperation between laboratories and other bodies by generating wider acceptance of results between countries. Test reports and certificates can be accepted from one country to another without the need for further testing, which, in turn, improves international trade.
Accreditation to ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 is available for both calibration and testing laboratories to ensure that laboratories control their own measuring and test equipment to the highest national standards.
1.1 The purpose of these practices is to specify procedures for the calibration of force-measuring instruments. Procedures are included for the following types of instruments:
1.1.1 Elastic force-measuring instruments, and
1.1.2 Force-multiplying systems, such as balances and small platform scales.
NOTE 1: Verification by deadweight loading is also an acceptable method of verifying the force indication of a testing machine. Tolerances for weights for this purpose are given in Practices E4; methods for calibration of the weights are given in NIST Technical Note 577(1)2, Methods of Calibrating Weights for Piston Gages.
1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. Other metric and inch-pound values are regarded as equivalent when required.
1.3 These practices are intended for the calibration of static force measuring instruments. It is not applicable for dynamic or high speed force calibrations, nor can the results of calibrations performed in accordance with these practices be assumed valid for dynamic or high speed force measurements.

4.1 Testing machines that apply and indicate force are in general use in many industries. Practices E4 has been written to provide a practice for the force verification of these machines. A necessary element in Practices E4 is the use of force-measuring instruments whose force characteristics are known to be traceable to the SI. Practices E74 describes how these force-measuring instruments are to be calibrated. The procedures are useful to users of testing machines, manufacturers and providers of force-measuring instruments, calibration laboratories that provide the calibration of the instruments and the documents of traceability, service organizations that use the force-measuring instruments to verify testing machines, and testing laboratories performing general structural test measurements.
