There are times when a standard off-the-shelf sensor does not fit the exact requirements of a project or new product. With the vast catalog of choices available at Interface, many times these requirements can be fulfilled with a modification or what we call engineered to order solutions. There are also times when the specifications are so far from standard our team of solutions experts is put to task to innovate with our customers to create unique solutions.
Interface has long held, “If we can build it, we can customize it.” Our team can also combine multiple components to provide complete systems, including the sensor device, instrumentation, and even cases to make the system mobile. We have a long history of building completely custom solutions, including components for OEMs to use in their products. Read more about what’s new in custom solutions here.

Feature in Quality Magazine
Quality Magazine recently featured an article titled, “Selecting and Using a Force Measurement Device: Everything you need to know.” Ken Vining, Interface’s Chief Engineer and VP of Quality, details the contributing factors to force measurement device quality and accuracy. In this highlight, Ken offers tips and tricks to make sure you’re getting the best possible accuracy and longevity out of your device.
Here is a quick excerpt, “There are five key factors you need to know related to data accuracy, and three factors related to force measurement device quality. I’ll explain why each factor can contribute to inaccuracies and what to look for when selecting a device based on material selection, build quality, and environmental factors.” Read more here.
Latest Line on Tension Links
Interface’s Tension Link seriesis manufactured from high tensile aluminum and stainless steel. Matched to shackle sizes, the load links have a rugged design for use in harsh environments on the surface and in water. The tension links are environmentally sealed to IP65, IP66, or IP67. There are higher ratings available upon request.
A major benefit of Interface tension links is the option for custom designs in dimensions, ratings, and capacities. The tension links are easy to install and are highly accurate. Another benefit is the options available, which include standard, wireless, and self-indicating, giving the operator a variety of application use cases for quick measurement readings.
